01What it confirms

What the validator confirms

Validity

Whether the number is correctly formatted for its country's numbering plan.

Country & region

The country code and country name resolved from the leading digits.

Line type hints

For countries where the number reveals it — mobile, landline, toll-free or premium.

Canonical formats

The number in E.164 and pretty national format, ready to copy.

What's not shown

Live active-line status and carrier name — those need the paid Lookup API.

03Why use it

Why use a phone number validator

Cut wasted spend

Stop texting or calling malformed numbers before you fire off a campaign.

Boost deliverability

Clean lists before campaigns — invalid numbers get filtered up front.

Catch typos at entry

Wrap this in your signup flow, or paste a lead's number to sanity-check it.

Confirm reachability

Rule out format-only errors before you invest in manual outreach.

04How it works

How it works

Validation checks the number against the official numbering plan for its country — length, country calling code, national prefix rules, and known ranges. That catches malformed numbers and correctly-formatted-but-wrong-length ones. For the second layer — live active-line status and carrier — you need the paid Lookup API.

Runs on your device — nothing you type is sent anywhere

The numbering-plan rules ship with the page. Every check is instantaneous and completely private — no logging, no rate limits, no signup.

06Accuracy

Accuracy & good-to-know

Format and country checks are highly accurate. Active-line status and carrier name are not returned by this tool — those come from live carrier data (HLR/lookup APIs) and are part of our paid Lookup API. Use results lawfully and in line with GDPR and CCPA.
07Validating at scale?

Validating numbers in your app or across a database? Use the Lookup API.

Free for single checks. To validate numbers in real time inside your signup flow — or scrub a full database with live carrier data and active-line status — My Country Mobile's validation API returns the same results programmatically.
